In the bay of Vori two streams of permanent flow meet forming a marsh.This wetland system preserves the alder forest.On the beach, the forest gives way to wetland vegetation of reeds and common rush, sandy beach plant species, and scattered thorny burnets.
It is the island's most important wetland and one of the most important of Cyclades.
It has a high biodiversity , while interesting plant and animal species are present. ( LIFE Andros park)
