A single activation at the Level Crossing adjacent to Appledore Station in Kent. Recently, the Smiths Industries Barriers (which replaced the Manual Gates and Signal Box in 1992), have been taken out of use, with the replacement being SPX Rail Systems Barriers, manufactured in 2023. Strangely, each barrier has a Stop Paddle on the end, to increase pedestrian visibility of these crossings. At the time of writing, these Stop Paddles have also been installed at Springwell Lane L/C in Northallerton and Bootham L/C in York. Beyond the Station is the start to the Freight-Only Branch Line to Dungeness Powerstation
