Recently got a new OSMO Action Cam all for the sake of posting higher quality clips on Instagram. Thing is, Instagram's quality isn't as good and it doesn't really have a certain vibe compared to a Youtube video which is higher quality video-wise and also a whole different vibe so I've decided I want to focus more on Youtube videos and possibly post a few snippets of the clips I have on Instagram.
I have been watching plenty of Parkour videos on Youtube since I started training and it really got me inspired to go out and train more often and really progress hence I would love to start inspiring everyone to go out and train more often and progressing as much as y'all can!
Here's some background story not many people know about as to why my youtube channel sort of died off and also less content from my Instagram. In 2014 I tore my ACL doing a swing gainer double full twist, over-rotated and landed in a really awkward position which tore my ACL and that got me out of the scene for a few months. I didn't realize it was that serious so I continued training at my usual pace doing all sort of freerunning stuff which consist of my favorite big front flips/big jumps and no matter how clean/controlled my landing is, my knee always sort of popped out of place and it gets me out of the scene for a few months hence falling into depression. I finally decided to go for an MRI scan and found out I have a completely torn ACL, a partial tear of both my MCL, PCL, and meniscus(partial tear of MCL, PCL, and meniscus is due to me constantly training without fixing my completely torn ACL). At that point, it's either I give up on parkour and just lead a normal mundane life or go through a knee surgery to fix it to be able to continue what I love. In the end, the love for parkour is pretty much the reason that made me decided to do the knee surgery all for the sake of being able to continue to do what I love, my passion. After the surgery, I wasn't able to walk for 3 months, had to go through intense rehab and stretching for a year and now I'm back into doing what I love and I've never regretted that choice.
Currently, right now, I'm still training with a partial MCL and PCL tear(the knee surgery was just to fix my ACL and meniscus) you can see based on my older youtube videos, my training style, and mindset changed and I'm focusing more on clean controlled movement and flow.
This video will just be the revival of my youtube channel and I have more concepts for future videos in mind which might be more entertaining to not just the parkour community but also the public which at the same time can hopefully promote Parkour more in a positive manner.
If you've read through the whole description, I appreciate it and maybe you will understand my story more.
If you're curious, you can check out my old Instagram clips where I was still training with multiple torn ligaments in my right knee and the only thing keeping my knee stable was a knee brace haha.
