Описание: This song aims to help foster an understanding of where human beings fit both in terms of the order of creation and the role we play in caring for creation. God created man, i.e. all human beings, and endowed them with special dignity by making man in His own image and likeness. In the Catholic tradition, this is often referred to as "Imago Dei." As such, God also gave man the special privilege and responsibility to be a steward of creation. Humans have been tasked with this stewardship as part of creation, and in Jesus Christ we live it out as sons and daughters of God. Put more succinctly, people can take care of plants and animals, but not the other way around. Earth is important to care for because it is a gift to us from God. It is our home and we share in God's creative activity in the way we both enjoy the gift of creation and foster its flourishing along with our own. All people are entrusted with this stewardship by God as part of creation. For Christians, we are called to show the world that while all people share in this call to stewardship, it is in and through Christ the Savior that this mission finds its completion — the fullness of meaning God intended from the beginning for His creation. Through the Holy Spirit, we cooperate with the grace bestowed on us in Baptism, through the death and resurrection of God’s Son, Jesus Christ, and share this mission with the world.
