Qaroon Dheri is a series of three small mountains located in Tangi, district Charsadda. Qaroon Dheri was owned by a local landlord named as Sharpasand Khan in the British era. It has been narrated that the British govt bought this land from Sharpasand Khan at the cost of Rs 60 rupees at that time. And thus these mountains turned as govt property. Qaroon Dheri spreads over an area of 800 acres. The height of mountains are not more than 600 meters. The local says these mountains were named by the locals due to the resemblance with Egyptians Pyramids.
Qaroon Dheri is rich with precious stones. Three major types of stones are found there which are used mainly in the construction of roads and buildings. Qaroon Dheri is a good spot for local tourists too.
