OVRLND Tow-Rig/Camper Tour

Описание: A tour of my custom-manufactured OVRLND truck camper shell and the interior build-out I did over many months. The plan is to use this rig to pull glider trailers and to also tow my Van's RV-12 airplane in an enclosed cargo trailer, once that kit is complete. To be safe and legal, controlling gross weight of the rig was critical so I will still be able to safely tow up to 5,000 pounds (tongue weight up to 1,000 lbs) when the Silverado 2500HD 4WD with camper is fully loaded.

I have spent about 70 nights in the camper in the 18 months since picking up the shell in Flagstaff, in January, 2022. So far I have already enjoyed trips to Sun-N-Fun, Chilhowee Gliderport Oktoberfest and all over the Southeast US. I hope to take the camper across the US and into Canada. Driving 65mph or less (not towing) I have averaged about 13.3 mpg on long trips with the 6.0L LQ4 gas engine.
