Описание: Why didn’t the Resistance use Y-Wings to attack the dreadnought? They’re bombers too! I think it comes down to the size of the bomber’s payload. According to Star Wars Legends sources, one Y-Wing could carry up to twenty proton bombs. One MG-100 Starfortress carried one thousand forty eight proton bombs. So one Resistance bomber was the equivalent of over fifty Y-Wings. Of course the trade off is that the bombers were much slower, and Y-Wings already weren’t known for their speed. Regardless, a single Resistance bomber packed enough punch to destroy an entire dreadnought. Also, the simple fact that we don’t see any Y-Wings in the movie suggests to me that the Resistance didn’t have any. Their ships were mostly hand me downs from the New Republic. Their X-Wings were an older model. The Raddus was scheduled for retirement before the Resistance took it. I guess nobody had volunteered to give up any Y-Wings until a year later, when we saw them in The Rise of Skywalker. #starwars
