My partner Valari and I were going to the Born this Way Ball concert on February 13th 2013. I had this flash mob scheduled to be in the line with the Monster Pit fans at the Lady Gaga concert.
We actually live in Denver, Colorado and without Valari knowing I had her mom, my brother and her sister come to Chicago to be part of this amazing proposal. I was so freaked out because on the way to the venue the cab driver told us the Gaga concert was cancelled!! After 4 months of planning and the concert was not going to happen!! After having a panic attack in the cab... it was so cute because Valari said "It is just a concert baby... everything will be ok."
The good news.. the choreographer was able to move us to the park and we moved the mob over a 4 hour span. Everything went perfect and she had NO clue!!! She literally is in shock in the video.
I wish the photographer had recorded her reaction to the dance and the surprise, but he did do a fantastic job on the actual proposal.
I love you Valari, more than anything in this world. I cannot wait for marriage to actually become legal in Denver.
