On 25 February 2026, the Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association - EMEA, in collaboration with the Global Brain Economy Initiative, convened the webinar “The Role of the Brain Economy in Strengthening Democracy: Integrating into the Post-2030 Agenda.”
Held in association with the World Economic Forum’s Brain Economy Action Forum, the discussion explored how brain health, brain skills, agency, trust, and supportive environments can be understood as core components of democratic infrastructure.
A key message from the dialogue: democratic resilience cannot be assessed through institutional metrics alone. Integrating brain economy perspectives into governance, democracy assessment, crisis recovery, and long-term policy design is increasingly essential.
