Описание: 25 Edelweiss Trail in Zermatt, Switzerland Winter 2025 - With our sailboat/riverboat safe in a marina in France for the winter, we go on an excursion to Zermatt. In this video, we share our hike in the snow on the Edelweiss trail. We did the trail counter-clockwise, but hikers recommend doing this trail clockwise and leaving early in the morning to see the sunrise against the Matterhorn. We loved the mix of fantastic mountain views and rushing water sounds along the trail switch-backs. And in the forest, Mark spotted an ibex also wandering through the forest in the snow. The Edelweiss lodge was closed for the winter, but we weren’t too disappointed as were looking forward to hiking further up in more snow, and reaching the bridge that stretched across a large waterfall at the top. My video did not do the waterfall justice. Thanks for watching.
