Welcom to my new video series detailing my budget John boat build. This project was born from a need for a very small and capable boat to get into narrow creeks and rivers, and to cross extremely shallow water. I cover a ton of area when fishing so speed is also a must.
In this video I show the process of prepping, painting, and bottom coating this 14' flat bottom boat. This video is part 1 of a 4 part series which will end in sea trials and a day on the island spoiler the speed part got a little out of hand!
This is my first real project aluminum boat and i had an absolute blast doing it, so much so that ive already acquired my second project john boat for an even wilder build later on. If you see anything in the video that you would have done differently please comment as ive got a lot to learn before my next build.
