Mario & Sonic at the Minus World – Sonic Boll Project – is a fangame package for the fully skinable Boll Engine where an 8-bit style Sonic the Hedgehog and friends meet characters from the Mario franchise in the environment of Super Mario Brothers for the NES.

The codename “Sonic Boll” comes from a brazillian joke involving ReNeX’s history with game making. “I chose that name because it was the name of my first attempt at a game, from the times I didn’t know a word of english” –he said.

The Boll Engine on which the game runs is maintained by fictional company ‘MetalReX Technologies’, and the fangame package is collaboratively made by New Game Plus community members.
