New to the list in the dental program is the Nitrous Oxide Certification- recognized by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners – which allows registered dental assistants to monitor patients receiving the sedation under the direct supervision of a licensed dentist.
Medical Professions is the only high school in the state to offer three dental medical certifications: National Entry-Level Dental Assistant (NELDA), Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) and the Nitrous Oxide Certification.
