We watch a east bound VIA Budd cars pass with #186 on the CP mainline at the crossing at Benny. The horns sound great echoing across the lake. The next day, we caught the Budd cars with #185 west at the west siding switch at Larchwood. The train is not far out of Sudbury, and already over an hour late. It got plugged in the siding behind CP #115 to wait for the CP #112 to come east. The next step was to back the Budd cars out on the mainline at the east end of the siding, and run him around the #115, as not to make #185 any later. As VIA passes the #115, it gives a horn salute. The CP crew answers back with a long loud blast! Thanks for watching...
