This is what it really looked like behind the scenes: vacuum bags exploding, kids’ books and toys everywhere, donation piles, giveaway piles, and the last pieces of our life being boxed up. We sold or donated almost everything, kept the essentials for our boys, and shipped the rest to Nairobi.
