The Burley Straw Maze and Pumpkin Patch will reopen Saturday night, after a fire burned multiple haybales Friday night.
The fire burned a large stack of hay, south of Declo, causing an estimated $50,000 worth of damages, according to Declo Fire Chief Winn Osterhout. The blaze is estimated to have started around 5:45 p.m. Friday.
No injuries were reported and, according to the fire chief, that was in large part due to the maze staff who were well trained and were able to follow a fire safety plan to evacuate everyone quickly.
