Presenting the mighty fish biriyani or meen biriyani Thalassery style.
Seer Fish or Ayakoora is used, also known as ney meen.
Roasting khaima rice in ghee will give a nice aroma to the biriyani, which is a crucial step in Thalassery Biriyani.
Cook rice in the water - double quantity of rice taken.
Fried Fish for garnish is completely optional.
A small piece of mace flower to the biriyani masala would impart good flavour.
Ingredients

Seer Fish - 800g
Khaima Rice - 600g
Onion - 4
Onion fried - 2
Tomato -3
Ginger Garlic Chilli Crushed - 4 tbsp
Turmeric Powder -1 tbsp
Salt
Chilli Powder - 1.5 tbsp
Juice of 1 1/2 lemon
Oil to cook masala- 5 tbsp
Oil to fry fish
Ghee - 6 tbsp
Coriander Leaves
Pudina Leaves
Water - to cook rice- double qty of rice
Water - 4 tbsp
Cashew Nuts Roasted
Spices Used
