Riding Another Chance Rides C.P. Huntington Locomotive

Well, consider myself super lucky! The owner of this park was able to give me another ride on a C.P. Huntington engine. This is the second of three engines owned by this railroad, built in 1999. It's more or less the same of the locomotive I rode last year, except it has a few more features for safer operation and easier maintenance. Since last year, the 1984 locomotive (which I rode last year) was rebuilt for continued operation, but the third locomotive from 2015 is currently getting some work done in the shops.

For this video, I’m sitting on the fireman's side of the locomotive, instead of the engineer’s side like last year. I also got a few shots of the driving panel, so you could get an idea of what it’s like to operate these engines. Hopefully I’ll get permission to ride the 2015 engine, either later this year or next year, whenever the maintenance work gets done, but as always there is no guarantee. Enjoy this POV video!
