I've always had a fascination with border towns and Southwest City is actually at the corner of three states - Missouri, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. Being located so close to Indian Territory in the 1800's made for a complicated start, but eventually it grew into a nice town. After topping out at 500 people for around 100 years, Southwest City actually had a surge in population recently to it's current total of 922. I really enjoyed exploring around this small town!
