Something we really wanted to include in this recital was some more duets, so here is the first of those - it’s Pur ti miro from Montiverdi’s ‘Poppea’. It’s a very romantic and intimate duet sung by the characters Poppea and Nerone, ending the opera. Ellie and I have wanted to sing this beautiful duet from our very first SSCS recital, so we’re very excited to have been able to put it together in a format upon which we can easily look back and remember our time as scholars.
