Swedish trains part 96 - Katterjåkk station

Описание: Recorded on October 13th 2024 at Katterjåkk station, close to Riksgränsen, the Swedish/Norwegian border at the Iron Ore Line in Lapland (northern Sweden). This beautiful, desolate station is located in the middle of the mountains with an amazing view over the lake Vassijaure in the north. It is surrounded by lots of hiking trails, and the area is a popular destination for ski tourists. Katterjåkk is famous for having the deepest snow in all of Sweden, with depths up to 150 cm during the winters. In this video you get to see the station and its surroundings, as well as the trains passing by. The trains seen in the video are Rc6, IORE and engine 482. The trains were in service as LKAB Iron Ore Train, Kaunis Iron ore train and Vy night train. Since the 15th of December, Vy is not operating the night trains any more. They are now operated by SJ again!
