Описание: Ms Dynamite!
Songwriters: Oscar Hammerstein & Sigmund Romberg

(Lyrics as modified and sung by Brenda Lee)

Little lover won'tcha come on back to me

The sky was blue
And high above
The moon was new
And so was love
This aching heart of mine is singing
Lover where can you be

You came at last
Love had its day
That day is past
You've gone away
This eager heart of mine is singing
Lover, come on home to me

I remember every little thing
You used to do
I'm so lonely
Every road i walk along
I walk along with you
No wonder i am lonely

The sky is blue
The night is cold
The moon is new
But love is old
And while i'm waiting here
This heart of mine is singing
Lover, where can you be

And while i'm waiting here
This heart of mine is singing
Lover, come on home to me

And while i'm waiting here
This heart of mine is singing
Lover, get yourself on home

I remember every little thing
You used to do
I'm so lonely
Every road i walk along
I walk along with you
No wonder i am lonely

The sky is blue
The night is cold
The moon is new
But love is old
And while i'm waiting here
This heart of mine is singing
Lover, come on home to me

I said lover, come on home to me
I'm not gonna tell you, but one more time
To get your little old self on back to me

Lover, come back to me!

Music by Sigmund Romberg with lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II for the Broadway show, The New Moon (1928). The song was introduced by Evelyn Herbert and Robert Misson. In 1930, Lawrence Tibbett and Grace Moore sang the song in film adaptation of The New Moon. Jeanette MacDonald and Nelson Eddy sang it in the 1940 MGM adaptation with a Herbert Stothart arrangement .

Brenda's Wardrobe Malfunction
------------------------------------------
Short of a riot, Brenda Lee was unperturbed by the unexpected on stage. Once during her nightclub act, Brenda did a dance move and a petticoat dropped to the floor. Without stopping she picked it up and tossed it to Freda Garrett who was standing in the wings offstage. Garrett was Brenda's tutor and good friend on the road. Soon there was another dance step and another crinoline on the floor. Brenda spun around, snatched it up and again made the toss to Freda. The crowd loved it. The sequence was repeated a couple of more times before the song ended to wild applause. According to Garrett, Brenda never missed a note during the song and the choreography looked so seamless that the audience thought the wardrobe malfunction was part of the act.

Crinoline petticoats are undergarments worn under a dress. They are layered with as many six worn at once. The look was made popular in the 1950s by designers Christian Dior and Edith Head. It was an update of a 19th century fashion. Grace Kelly, Doris Day, Patti Page, Connie Francis and Brenda Lee were among the entertainers seen with the look.
