My Contribution:
Wrote the narrative & story-design for the Dowry Act Awareness Film.
Context of this Project:
Almost 2000 dowry-death occur in Pakistan every year, 95% of the marriages involve the transaction of dowry as an outdated tradition. This requirement of cash and expensive gifts from the girl's parents for the groom and his family often serve as a burden on the middle class and lower middle class. Dowry is one of the primary causes of domestic violence in Pakistan as well.
Fortunately, The Dowry & Bridal Gift Restriction Act 1976 declares this act illegal and worthy of punishment by the Pakistani court of law. Unfortunately, there is little awareness about this act even in the educated masses of Pakistan.
