Did You Overeat Over The Holidays? Or maybe you just overeat generally? Holidays are meant to enjoy time with your family and eat a lot of good, tasty food. I haven’t met one client that skipped holiday junk food festivities ever. We're are guilty of putting away any diet we were on and just splurging during Thanksgiving and Christmas and even New Years’.
Most people gain the most weight during that time because they are enjoying the cookies, the cakes, the alcohol and any sugary or fatty thing that's baked or fried.
So what do we do to get out of that holiday eating rut and how do we lose that weight? First off you get rid of anything that is junk food or bad calories from your kitchen cupboards. You should throw it away or hide it because that will prevent you from tempting yourself to indulge any further. The healthy foods that you plan on eating should be near the front of your cupboard such as fruits and vegetables including pineapples, strawberries, oranges peaches, apples, bananas; whole grains, unsalted almonds or cashews, fish, chicken, shrimp, lean beef, turkey.
I know this sounds like a cliché, but you are what you eat. Your diet and nutrition foods that you eat will change your health on the inside and the outside. One of the things that I always tell my clients is the best foods that will suppress your appetite and make you less hungry is fruits and vegetables and drinking lots of water. Why? Fruits and vegetables are very high in nutrients and low in calories. Water has zero calories but can fill you up very quickly. Daily Water of eight glasses per day, fruits, and vegetables in at least your lunch and dinner meals will make you not to desire eating anything that is not good for you in high calories. It will zap your appetite and the remarkable thing about this it is good for you because it is high in fiber.
