Tonight, I’m cooking a medieval-style feast at home 🕯️
Inspired by historical medieval cooking, this meal includes hearty stews, sausages, rustic bread, cheese, fruit, and wine—foods that were common at medieval tables and built to sustain rather than impress.
I dressed up, used a questionable accent, pretended my apartment was a stone hearth, and tried to stay as historically accurate as possible (with a few modern liberties for safety… and seasoning).
Medieval cooking relied on simple ingredients, shared dishes, and practical techniques like one-pot meals, flat breads, and preserved foods. This video is equal parts cozy, informative, and just a little unhinged.
