STALKER 2 Update 2.0 Has Raised New Questions

GSC Game World has revealed the new features, yet promotional footage cannot prove whether A-Life, NPC activation distances, performance, combat AI, mutant behavior, and console image quality have genuinely improved.

In this video, we investigate the new binocular screenshot, which apparently shows an NPC at 127 meters. Does this suggest the current A-Life range has increased beyond approximately 100 meters, or is the rangefinder measuring the terrain behind the NPC? We also examine why activation distance, visibility, and deactivation distance may produce different results.

Update 2.0 has also made the Zone appear greener, brighter, and more vibrant. While this could better represent the real Chornobyl Exclusion Zone, some players are concerned that STALKER 2 may lose the colder, bleaker atmosphere associated with Call of Pripyat, Anomaly, and GAMMA.
