In this video i make a table using scaffolding components, steel and pine.
It’s fairly easy to make a table using scaffold boards and scaffolding parts because they are designed to be easy to just cut up the scaff poles and slot the connectors together. They are then tightened up using an Allen key on a grub screw. I welded some components to the angle iron frame that I cut up using the Makita bandsaw and then cleaned up with an angle grinder. I used an antique solution to chemically black the tubes and other parts. The scaffolding boards weren’t reclaimed but they give the same effect. I used the biscuit jointer to connect the timber into one piece then cut it square and to size using the dewalt plunge saw on a track. I then used a plane to flatten the tabletop and sanded it to a nice finish with the orbital sander. I think I finished the top with hard wax oil. I hope this helps as a sort of tutorial or instruction video.
