Something is very wrong on The Island in Ark Survival Ascended. After two days searching the oceans I could not find a single Basilosaurus and almost all the sea life has vanished. The ocean feels completely empty and I cannot help but wonder what is happening to the map's creature spawns.
In this episode I stand on the boardwalk of my southern base and think aloud about:
• Why the ocean is so empty
• Whether underwater cave spawns affect global dino spawn mechanics
• How to make missing sea creatures respawn
I also review my Megalodon's stats and consider whether it could eventually handle the two underwater caves and if I should Risk It for the Biscuit (the artifacts). For now it is all speculation. This is a confused and ponderance episode into Ark ocean mysteries, creature spawns and solo PVE strategy on The Island.
