Today I will take you on a cycling journey around the Rossendale Valley, first off climbing over the Owd Betts road 1000 ft up in the Pennines above Edenfield before taking on the iconic Ramsbottom Rake. The Rake is 25% steep at it's most challenging section and is a little lung buster to say the least.
After this, the route headed on towards Haslingden where the steel structured Panopticon, locally known as the Halo sits high up on Cribden End which over looks the town of Rawtenstall.
The final part of this ride was towards Crown Point above the town of Burnley where the Singing Ringing tree whistles and chimes as the cold winds pass through the steel pipes of this unique structure.
