Part 1 of backpacking to Dumbbell Lake for the weekend via White Pass trailhead. We hiked the loop clockwise, following the PCT for majority of the first day. This is Finn's (silken windhound) first backpacking trip! and honestly, i think he loved it. Enjoy!
Trail Stats (per my Garmin):
Total Distance: 15 miles
Elevation gain: 2100'
Recommended Days: 1-3 days
Dogs: Yes
Bathrooms at Trailhead: No (stop at the gas station nearby)
Permit: Self issue at trailhead
Parking: Northwest Forest Pass
Also Kona recently had surgery to get her stones removed! Unfortunately the food did not work to dissolve it (even though it apparently is supposed to work on struvite stones?) Regardless, she is almost fully recovered and will be back on the trails in no time!
