Cut from cedar, the original fence posts were naturally insect- and weather-resistant, surviving drought, snowstorms, brushfires, and lightning storms so loud you can almost hear the echo of thunder in the wood. On many of the ducks, you can still see the original metal staples that held the fencing in place. They come in three sizes, and each carving is a little bit different, preserving the patina of history, while beautifully revealing the color and grain of the heartwood beneath.
