David Hermann draws inspiration for the directorial concept of his new production of Don Giovanni at the Bayerische Staatsoper from two of the last lines of Lorenzo Da Ponte's libretto and has Proserpina, the goddess of the underworld, slip into the body of the notorious libertine. What new interpretations does this open up?
