How to get Purple Sword:
After defeating Level 20, Press 1+2 before you select a level.

Swordmaster: Obtained at 19:55
Complete the final Showdown stage (Level 20; Volcano Reverse).

Untouchable: Obtained at 19:55
Complete the final Showdown stage without taking a single hit and losing a heart.

It took me 5 tries to beat level 20 without getting hit, Matt was always the hardest to knockout.
