The permanent mandibular lateral incisors are the second mandibular teeth from the median line, right and left. They are also called as the second incisors and are present in contact with the central incisors mesially and with the canines distally. The permanent mandibular central and lateral incisors operate in the dental arch as a team therefore their functional form is related. However, direct comparison can be made between these two teeth. In this video, we have dealt with the ANATOMY OF PERMANENT MANDIBULAR LATERAL INCISOR in detail by comparing it with the mandibular central incisor from all the 5 aspects namely the labial aspect, lingual aspect, mesial aspect, distal aspect and incisal aspect.
