Like many people living full time in a RV, storage is at a premium. We wanted to be able to easily get to the RV bed storage so we can use it daily. Prior to making this modification, it took 2 people to get things out (one to hold the mattress up and the other to find and pull the items out). Tools We Used:
Philips Screwdriver, flat head screwdriver, 3/8 socket on quarter drive ratchet, tape measure, cordless drill/screw gun, 3/16th drill bit, wood glue

Dimensions we used:
The center spot for the bracket on the bed framing was 6" from the hinge point (forward end of the bed frame cutout). The 2' x 4' was about 16.5 ". You will need to install the blocking and second bracket at the appropriate angle on the hinged board.
