On Saturday 25th April 2020, I collaborated with my good friend and mentor, John Starkes recording a socially distanced Euphonium Duet entitled 'The Prayer'.
'The Prayer' was originally sung and made famous by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli and was later released as a single on Monday 1st March 1999. 'The Prayer' was later arranged by Luc Vertommen as both a Euphonium Duet and a Euphonium and Eb Bass Duet and was first performed by David Childs and Les Neish.
I have fond memories of the very first time that I performed 'The Prayer' as a Euphonium and Eb Bass Duet back in 2012 with The Coventry City Salvation Army Band. I really enjoyed performing alongside John Starkes again after all these years of friendship and I look forward to performing with him again in person in the very near future.
