The Pilgrims' Way

Описание: My name is Nick Porter and I attend the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. In the summer of 2014 I completed the Camino de Santiago, a pilgrimage that has been around since 900 AD. Along the way I documented the 800 kilometer trek across northern Spain. I interviewed many pilgrims along the journey and put together this short documentary to try and capture the spirit of the Camino. There were no staged shots or interviews, the pilgrims who participated were interviewed either on a break of during a walk to their next destination, or at the pilgrim hostiles after they had walked many kilometers. Most pilgrims were too tired and politely refused to be interviewed. I am very grateful to all the pilgrims that agreed to let me into their lives and their experiences on the Camino. This was a truly special adventure and I learned so much meeting so many different pilgrims and nationalities. Before I started the Camino I had read that it was an enlightening adventure, and now I understand why so many pilgrims have agreed for over a thousand years.
