Five construction workers injured in exterior elevator accident at Turning Stone

Описание: Turning Stone Enterprises Vice President for Communications Joel Barkin said five construction workers were injured when an exterior elevator became detached from the under-construction hotel at the casino.

Barkin said all five construction workers are conscious and have been taken to the hospital. It's not clear if they were on the elevator when it became detached. Barkin said that the construction is away from the facilities being used by guests.

"We're very grateful for how quickly they came to support this effort," said Barkin, referring to the emergency crew response time. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the workers who are injured."

The cause of the detachment is under investigation.
