Hi guys! In this video I'm talking about the different species and sub species varieties that are often sold as "Baby Toes".
The main species correctly labeled as "Baby Toes" is in the genus is Fenestraria (pronounced fen-es-tray-ree-uh) and the species is Rhopalophylla (pronounced row-pal-uh-fy-luh).
Then there is a sub species of that variety called Aurantiaca (pronounced Or-ran-tee-ahh-kuh.)
The Aurantiaca subspecies seems to be a bit smaller, more delicate, and can't tolerate as long of periods of drought as the main species can, and generally likes more water.
Both of these varieties look VERY similar to Fritha Pulchra. Fritha Pulchra is currently being debated and possibly recategorized as being in the same family as Fenestraria. But that hasn't been finalized, and for now they are considered separate species.
