Описание: Do you know the name of a seasoning called MSG (Monosodium Glutamate)? MSG is a powdery type of seasoning to create the 5th flavor called 'umami' to your cooking.

A part of the reasons we like going to Seijo Ishii (成城石井), the organic food grocery store we previously covered in our another video, is that they mostly offer savory products without artificial additives such as colorings, preservatives, or condiments. Seijo Ishii is a very popular grocery chain in Tokyo among healthy-minded consumers; however, the word 'NO MSG' is not displayed there unlike shops and restaurants in the Western cities. This made us wonder why.

Doesn't Japanese food contain MSG?
To the contrary, is it in every Japanese food?
If there are any, how do we find the hidden MSG in Japanese groceries?
