The plot revolves around "The Incident", an event in which a fight between a Xenomorph (the player character in the game's Alien storyline) and a Predator resulted in the Predator activating its self-destruct device, causing massive damage to the Primary Operations Complex and allowing it to be overrun with Xenomorphs. Since the POC was the communications link between the Forward Observation Pods and the rest of the galaxy, this leaves the survivors at the Pods stranded and unable to call for help. Six weeks later, the Colonial Marines are sent to investigate what happened. Different parts of each campaign take place anywhere from 1 day and 7 hours before The Incident to more than six weeks after.

The sequel to 1999s AvP turns everything to 11. This time it was developed by Monolith Productions with their Lithtech engine. Easily the best AvP game we ever got. It is currently abandonware and not for sale anywhere, so if you want it look for it at Archive.org or something.

La trama gira en torno a «El Incidente», un suceso en el que un enfrentamiento entre un Xenomorfo (el personaje jugable en la campaña Alien) y un Depredador provocó que este último activara su dispositivo de autodestrucción, causando graves daños en el Complejo de Operaciones Primario y permitiendo que fuera invadido por Xenomorfos. Dado que el COP era el enlace de comunicaciones entre las Cápsulas de Observación Avanzada y el resto de la galaxia, los supervivientes en dichas cápsulas quedan aislados e incapaces de pedir ayuda. Seis semanas después, los Marines Coloniales son enviados a investigar lo ocurrido. Las distintas partes de cada campaña tienen lugar desde 1 día y 7 horas antes de El Incidente hasta más de seis semanas después.

La secuela de AvP de 1999 lo lleva todo al máximo. Esta vez fue desarrollada por Monolith Productions utilizando su motor LithTech. Fácilmente el mejor juego de AvP que hemos recibido. Actualmente es abandonware y no está a la venta en ningún sitio, así que si lo quieres tendrás que buscarlo en Archive.org o similares.
