The Corona Choir is a virtual, global choir formed in March 2020. “Evening” composed in 1875 by Arthur Sullivan is their debut piece bringing together singers from all over the world with varying backgrounds and experience, most of whom have never even met in person. In spite of lockdowns and quarantine, all singers have a desire to continue to create music with others: to feel connected to other humans in the way that is special for choir singers.
Our virtual choir makes this possible at a time when humans need for connection has never been greater. With this piece we hope to inspire others to create, share and innovate using available technology and communication and make the best of the current situation.
