Anantnag, Dec 27: Reiterating that the National Conference (NC) believes in delivery rather than hollow promises, senior NC leader and District vice President Anantnag, Imran Amin Shah, said that people will judge the party on its performance, for which NC remains fully committed to ensuring equitable development across all regions of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly the Anantnag Central Segment.

Shah stated that under the visionary leadership of Dr Farooq Abdullah and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, several major initiatives have been undertaken to pull Jammu and Kashmir out of the prevailing chaotic situation— a crisis inherited due to the failures and faulty policies of the previous PDP regime, which ultimately reduced the state to a Union Territory.

He said that PDP workers disillusioned and suffocated within the party. “People are now convinced by the pro-people policies and development-oriented agenda of the National Conference, which is why they are joining the party in large numbers to become part of the development process,” Shah added.

Imran Shah was speaking at a function held at Teilwani Naik Mohalla, where dozens of PDP prominent workers joined the National Conference which include Feroz Ah Ganie, Hemaiyo Bashir, Faroq Ah Naiko, Ab Majeed Ganie, M Shafi Naiko, Bilal Ah sheikh, Tariq Ah Ganie, Younis Ah and others.
Welcoming the new entrants into the party fold, Shah said that the ongoing developmental initiatives undertaken by the NC government have helped people realize that the National Conference is the only viable political option capable of steering Jammu and Kashmir out of morass and chaos.
He further added that the party is working seriously towards employment generation, and several projects are already in the pipeline to provide better opportunities to the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
