Architects Pick Everard were appointed by Chelmsford City Council to design and deliver the £25 million Riverside Leisure Centre redevelopment. As part of the process, CADS were tasked with surveying the existing site and leisure centre building.

In this video BIM survey case study, CADS' Mark Johnson discuss the challenges of developing this BIM Level 2 project for the Council and the critical nature of the survey.

CADS undertook the site survey and using the point cloud data file, constructed a LOD400 Revit model. This BIM Level 2 model of the existing building was accurate to within 3mm.

In addition, this Point Cloud data file has been used as a point of reference throughout the duration of the project.
