Sky News Digital Presenter Gabriella Power claims US President Donald Trump was the key reason the Iranian women’s soccer team are getting visas after their bravery in not singing the national anthem.
“These five players of the Iranian women’s soccer team have been granted humanitarian visas,” Ms Power said.
“The footballers have been, of course, facing the risk of being persecuted going back to Iran after not singing the national anthem so bravely before their match against South Korea.
“A key person involved in this is the president of the United States.
“He gets on the phone to Anthony Albanese, and what do you know, a few hours later, we get an outcome.”
