Nevada Latino Caucus raises alarm over ICE rights violations at Pahrump detention center

Описание: As immigration enforcement continues to increase across the country, so has the number of individuals who’ve been detained by ICE at the Nevada Southern Detention Center in Pahrump.

Thursday morning, members of the Nevada Latino Legislative Caucus toured and met with detainees at the detention facility who had been detained by ICE officials.

Nevada State Sen. Fabian Doñate says the facility met upkeep and sanitary requirements.

“The conditions were actually very sanitary and very well taken care of. The officers that worked at the facility and the staff were very welcoming and respectful. Our conversations with many of the immigrants that are being housed there confirmed that as well, they had attested to those same conditions, and they were offered legal services.”
