Description: A semi truck (Vehicle 1) is traveling on a state highway and its driver fails to see and react to another semi truck (Vehicle 2) pulling out onto and across cross the highway. Vehicle 1 collides into the rear section Vehicle 2's trailer, which results in the flipping over of Vehicle 1.

Visualizations Produced:
Using photographs and CADD data from the expert, we modeled the site and two tractor trailers in 3D. Using expert calculations and witness testimony, we were able to determine the speeds of both vehicles and the timing of the accident. Once the accident was animated we then created several avoidance scenarios, illustrating how the accident could have been avoided.
