I have had a reoccurring question on this video. What did we do with everything that we pulled out of the room and was that part of the 30 minutes? We dealt with everything we pulled out right away and it was mostly part of the 30 minutes, maybe 10 minutes more. In this case, everything that was pulled out just needed to be put away, and since my mom is very organized all she had to do was put all those items in the right location. Then we stuck everything that needed to be donated in the back of the van and dropped it off. When you film a video it adds a lot of time to the process, but we were only actively decluttering for about 20 minutes and then about 10 minutes to deal with all the stuff.
Obviously, every room is different and the amount of clutter is going to vary a lot. What I am trying to show in this video is how much can be accomplished in a short time and what a difference just 30 minutes of focused decluttering can make. More than anything I want my videos to be encouraging help people to get inspired to live a simple life without all the clutter.
