The season for woodcock hunting commences on September 22nd and ends the first week in November. Grouse season is a little bit longer and begins September 15th and extends through the opening of deer season on November 15th. Michigan has a vast quantity of State land, with about 9.9 million acres of public land accessible to hunters. As a resource, it lures a lot of hunters and sportsman to our state. All in all, it's tough to beat a day in the woods in Michigan hunting.
