There is no denying the freedoms granted to non-Europeans following the fall of apartheid have vastly improved the lives of millions living in South Africa.
But for some Indian South Africans, insecurities remain regarding how the diaspora is recognized and respected.
However, as some in Indian South Africans point out, life after the oppressive "apartness" laws have seen the community thrive in business, education, government and countless other aspects of society.
